Historical enterprise application

CoreHR

An enterprise human-resource information system covering employee lifecycle, payroll, attendance, assets, disciplinary actions, benefits, government contributions, and reporting.

What this project proves

  • Complex HR and payroll domain modelling
  • Long-lived operational workflow design
  • Enterprise reporting and administrative systems
  • Legacy-system modernisation awareness

The problem

Organizations needed one integrated view of employee records, timekeeping, payroll, leave, benefits, assets, and reporting.

The system unified these workflows at a time when they were otherwise spread across disconnected tools and manual processes.

My approach

Model employee history and administrative workflows across HR, payroll, attendance, issued assets, and reporting.

Publish a sanitized schema and codebase for portfolio value while clearly identifying legacy practices and modern alternatives.

Architecture and engineering choices

  • Legacy PHP application
  • MySQL schema
  • Dockerized portfolio setup
  • Modernization plan for APIs, React, ORM, cloud, CI/CD, and observability

Truthful scope and boundaries

  • No production data is included.
  • The project is not presented as current production-quality code.
