Historical public-sector platform
PUVMP Systems
An integrated platform developed for the Philippine Department of Transportation's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program, covering transport cooperatives, HR, payroll, procurement, inventory, franchises, communications, and reporting.
What this project proves
- Real public-sector operational impact
- Nationwide transport and cooperative data workflows
- Cross-agency reporting and digital-transformation experience
- Complex legacy-domain ownership
The problem
Public-transport modernization required consistent information across transport cooperatives, franchises, operational reporting, human resources, procurement, and internal communications.
The original environment relied on fragmented processes and inconsistent data-sharing practices.
My approach
Create integrated line-of-business modules and shared data structures supporting program and MIS operations.
Use the portfolio case study to explain operational scale, impact, and modernization lessons rather than presenting the legacy code as current best practice.
Architecture and engineering choices
- Legacy PHP application
- MySQL relational database
- Schema-only public repository
- Dockerized portfolio setup
Truthful scope and boundaries
- Production data, secrets, uploads, and third-party packages are not included.
- The repository is published for portfolio and historical value, with modernisation notes explaining how the system would be rebuilt today.
